Privacy policy

HalalAtlas is designed to respect your privacy. It runs entirely in your browser and there is no account to create.

Data stored in your browser

The app keeps the following in your browser's localStorage, never on a server:

• The sites you save as favorites.
• Your itinerary and any notes you add to it.
• An anonymous purchase id (only if you buy Premium — see Payments below).

Clearing your browser storage removes all of it permanently.

Imagery

HalalAtlas ships no photography. Every destination and site is illustrated with CSS-generated gradient artwork and geometric patterns rendered in your browser, so no images are fetched from third-party hosts. Map links open OpenStreetMap in a new tab only when you choose to open them.

Analytics

If analytics are enabled on the hosted site, they use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and aggregate. It records anonymous page-level metrics (such as page views and referrers) and does not build a profile of you or track you across sites.

Payments

Premium purchases are handled by RevenueCat and its payment processor (Stripe). Your email and payment details are entered and stored with them, not with HalalAtlas. To recognise your Premium access on this device, an anonymous purchase id is kept in this browser. Keep your receipt email for account recovery. If Premium is not yet enabled, none of this applies.
