Overview
Bir al-Ehn lies in the Aliyah district of Madinah, among what were the dwellings of Banu Umayyah of the Ansar. Sources differ on whether it is a well in its own right: Saudi and Arabic reference works treat "al-Ehn" and "al-Yasira" as two names for a single well, while some listings of the prophetic wells count them as separate sites. HalalAtlas keeps both entries until that is settled, so this record and the Alyasira Well record may describe the same place.
Historical significance
The account of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم renaming a well from "al-Aseera" (difficulty) to "al-Yasira" (ease) is given in full on the Alyasira Well entry and is not repeated here as though it were a second, separate event - the reference works that describe Bir al-Ehn attach that same account to it, which is precisely why the two records may be one site. What the sources do agree on is the setting: a well cut into rock and lined with black stone, in the Aliyah district. Anyone planning a route should treat this entry and Alyasira Well as possibly the same stop and confirm locally.

The well site has been developed into a small park-like area that provides a peaceful green space for visitors. A large date palm garden adjacent to the well is said to still produce fruit from trees descended from the original plantings.

Bir Budaah is a historic well located approximately 500 meters from Masjid Nabawi in the old city area of Madinah. The well is known for a specific prophetic narration about the purity of water and was historically used for various purposes by the people of Madinah. The site has been marked and preserved, though the well is no longer in active use.

Owned by Abu Saeed al-Khudri (RA). The Prophet (peace be upon him) washed his head with fragrant extract and poured the residue into this well, blessing its water.
