Day 1
Masjid Nabawi - The Spiritual Heart
Dedicate the entire first day to Masjid Nabawi. Pray all five prayers in the Haram and try to visit the Rawdah (go early after Fajr or late at night for shorter queues). Send salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ at his blessed grave and greet Abu Bakr and Umar. Look for Bir Ha (the well of Abu Talha) inside the mosque. After Fajr prayer, walk to Jannat al-Baqi to make dua for the companions. Spend the rest of the day soaking in the spiritual atmosphere of the Prophet's Mosque.
Day 2
Walking the Old City
Explore the historic sites within walking distance of the Haram. After Fajr, head southwest to visit Masjid al-Ghamama, Masjid Abu Bakr, and Masjid Bilal - all within 500 meters. Then walk to Bir Budaah, also nearby. After Dhuhr, walk north past Baqi to Masjid al-Ijabah and continue to Masjid al-Sajdah. This is a relaxed day with short distances between all sites, leaving plenty of time for prayers in Masjid Nabawi.
Day 3
Quba - Where It All Began
Head south to the Quba area, ideally on a Saturday to follow the Prophet's Sunnah. Walk the Quba Walkway or take a taxi. Pray two rak'ahs at Masjid Quba for the reward of Umrah. Then visit Bir Ghars and Bir Aris, both in the immediate Quba vicinity. Stop at Masjid al-Fadikh nearby. On the return journey, visit Masjid al-Jumu'ah along the route back to the Haram.
Day 4
The Uhud Experience
Dedicate this morning to the Uhud area. Take a taxi north and start at the Uhud Martyrs Cemetery to pay respects to Hamza and the other martyrs. Walk to Jabal Rumah (Mount of the Archers) and reflect on the lesson of the battle. Spend time at the foot of Mount Uhud, remembering the Prophet's love for this mountain. On the way back, stop at Masjid Shaikhain and Masjid al-Mustarah, both on the Uhud road. Go early morning to avoid the heat.
Day 5
The Seven Mosques & Battle of the Trench
Take a taxi to the Seven Mosques complex on the western side of Mount Sala. Visit all five mosques in the cluster: al-Fath, Salman, Ali, Umar, and Fatimah - they are all within walking distance of each other. Explore the Battle of the Trench site and view Mount Sala, which served as a natural defense. Then walk or take a short taxi to Masjid al-Rayah on nearby Mount Dhubab. This area brings the siege of Madinah vividly to life.
Day 6
Wells, Gardens & Southern Sites
Explore the more spread-out sites by taxi. Start in the south at the Salman Farsi Dates Farm, then visit Ethq Well and Alyasira Well. Head northwest to Bir Rumah (Well of Uthman), which has a pleasant garden around it. Stop at Masjid al-Saqiya in the western part of the city. End the day at Masjid al-Qiblatain to the northwest. A taxi for the day is recommended since these sites are scattered across different areas.
Day 7
Museums, Miqat & Farewell
Spend the final day visiting Madinah's excellent museums and remaining sites. Start at the Hejaz Railway Museum in the Anbariyah area, then take a taxi to Dar Al Madinah Museum for a deeper understanding of Madinah's history. Visit the Beautiful Names of Allah Exhibition for a contemplative experience. If heading to Makkah for Umrah, stop at Masjid al-Miqat to enter ihram. For the adventurous, Mount Thawr marks the northern boundary of Madinah's Haram. End with a final Maghrib and Isha at Masjid Nabawi and make your farewell prayers.
